Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
